Annual Meeting of the Economic and Social Councils of the EU and the EESC on 22-23 November 2021 in Paris
The President of the Bulgarian Economic and Social Council (ESC) Zornitsa Roussinova presented to her European colleagues the ESC Strategic Priorities for 2021-2025 the period and she highlighted the role of the Council in shaping the public policy, especially in relation to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). Mrs. Roussinova emphasized that it was important a “technology transfer” in the NRRP to be set, which was a key prerequisite for a balanced economic and social recovery in Europe, which would stimulate the convergence with the digitalization, green transition and cohesion.
In addition to the official programme, Mrs. Roussinova held bilateral meetings with the Presidents of the Councils of France, Greece, Poland and Romania as well as with the EESC President Christa Schweng along with the Secretaries-General of Spain, Luxembourg and the EESC.
Also, Mrs. Roussinova gave a short interview for a documentary related to the Annual Meeting and prepared by the French Economic, Social and Environmental Council.
Representatives of thirteen Member States took part in the Annual Meeting of the Presidents and Secretaries-General of the Economic and Social Councils of the EU and the EESC, which was a serious precondition for strengthening the international and bilateral cooperation of the ESCs with similar European Councils.
