ESC adopted an opinion on the National Programme for Safety and Health at Work 2022-2024 in the COVID-19 conditions
The ninth Plenary Session of the Economic and Social Council adopted an opinion on the National Programme for Safety and Health at Work 2022-2024 in the COVID-19 conditions.
The opinion mainly emphasizes on updating the national legal framework in order to be overcome the risks to health and safety at work and opportunities related to environmental and digital transition. It is necessary a risk assessment and management methodology in relation to “green” jobs to be developed. The opinion highlights that the digitalisation of labour leads to the emergence of new professions and new forms of work, as well as to a large number of self-employed people.
It is needed measure resulting from demographic changes to be envisaged, which allows older workers to continue their professional career in a safety and healthy way.
