During the week of the sixth edition of the Green Transition Forum, which brought together politicians from Europe and Bulgaria, representatives of European and Bulgarian institutions, experts, organizations, and business leaders, members of the Economic and Social Council (ESC) and representatives of organizations affiliated with the ESC actively participated in discussions on key topics regarding the future of the economy and society.
Members of all ESC groups—Employers, Trade Unions, and Civil Society Organizations—participated in thematic panels. They articulated their positions in discussions on various aspects of the economy—responsible business conduct, the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy, energy, overcoming challenges in the labor market and labor shortages, digitalization, workforce skills development, the introduction of artificial intelligence into the labor market, incomes and inflation, and other current topics.
The active participation of ESC members and representatives of the organizations that are members of the Council highlighted the role of the ESC as a platform for dialogue among employers, labor unions, civil society, and institutions on issues related to the green transition, economic development, and social sustainability.
