Dr. Ivan Kokalov was Vice President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CICSB) until May 2022 and is responsible for social security systems, social assistance and occupational safety and health and ecology.

He graduated from the Medical Academy in Sofia. He has a Master’s degree in Radiology at ISUL and has Master’s degrees in Economics and Human Resource Management and Health Management. He specialized in the USA, Great Britain, Belgium.

She is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee.

He is a long-standing member of the Supervisory Board of the National Health Insurance Fund. He is a member of the Board of the World Public Services Union, and was for many years a member of the EC of the European Federation of Public Services. He is a long-standing member of the Board of the European Dublin Foundation and of the Supervisory Board of OSH in Luxembourg, representing Bulgarian workers.

He has been a member of the Economic and Social Council since 2010 and is chairman of the Social Policy Committee of the ESC
